Scrap the Rulebook—Here’s How We Style Your Wedding With Purpose

Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not here to recreate the same Pinterest wedding or event that’s been done a hundred times for you.

You don’t come to SUB.SUBTLE for tradition.

You come for something different—something with personality, intention, and serious visual impact.

Before this business, I spent years in Public Relations working with some of the world’s biggest brands. I lived and breathed storytelling—figuring out what made a brand unique and how to communicate that through visuals, words, and experience. Now, I bring that same thinking to your events. Because whether it’s a wedding, a birthday dinner, or a brand launch, the goal is the same: create something that feels true to you and tells your story with clarity and confidence.

Here, we don’t believe in styling just for the sake of it.

We believe in design that means something—styling that reflects who you are, what you love, and how you want people to feel when they walk into your space.

What does that actually mean?

It means we start with you.

Once you’re booked in, we do a deep dive—into who you are as a couple, what makes your story unique, and what really matters to you. It’s not just about the “vibe” (although we nail that too). It’s about pulling details from your life—your favourite places, your shared rituals, the music you love, your personal style—and using that to build something cohesive and meaningful.

From the colour palette to the way we style your stationery, your wedding becomes a bundled-up version of you. Sometimes that means a ceremony with no arbour and a champagne tower instead. Sometimes it’s a moody tablescape with fruit, fabric and candles instead of traditional florals. Sometimes it’s just knowing when to keep it simple, so the energy of the day can shine.

We’re not here to copy trends—we’re here to create something that feels like you in visual form. The result? A space that’s made to be experienced, not just ‘grammed. And while the photos will be stunning, the best compliment we can get is: “This felt like us.”

And that’s where The Edit comes in.

I started this blog because I wanted to share more of that process with you—the thinking behind the design, the little tricks that elevate a space, and the styling choices that actually matter. Whether you’re in planning mode, deep in the Pinterest spiral, or just here for a bit of inspiration, The Edit is for you.

So what can you expect?

Hot takes. Real talk. And a look behind the scenes at how we create events that are fun, personal, and f*cking beautiful. We’ll talk through trends worth trying (and the ones we’re happily leaving behind), share where to splurge and where to save, and give you a peek at how we bring it all together—with or without a mood board.

We’re not here to gate keep good design. We’re here to help you celebrate boldly, creatively, and on your own terms.
